I spent the better part of my summer building a catio, which is basically an enclosed patio for my kitties to be able to go outside without being exposed to any of the dangers of being outside. They go in and out through the kitchen window and there is a bolted lock on the outside door so I can sit out there with them. I designed the ramp and enclosed the entire thing in fine mesh screening so that the bugs wouldn't be able to get into the catio or my house. Since I have absolutely no training in building, I spent a lot of hours with pieces of wood in my hand and painting wood while contemplating how to put the thing together. I learned how t

I haven't been around in ages. Not sure if anyone even noticed! But I have missed the place and am glad to be back. I have been doing lots of stuff creative wise, just not all on the computer, and I've been helping design some things for Club Chickenfish at Café Press to make money for a no kill cat shelter. They do some awesome work and save lives of thousand kitties a year, and devote their time to neutering and spaying strays in an attempt to help lessen the overpopulation of cats. It has inspired me to help the local shelters when I am able. Anyway, if you're reading this still, I'm glad to be back and maybe I'll stay a little longer this

I'm so darn tired today!
